About Christ's gift of spiritual power to believe:

Acts 19:20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

We need a spiritual power within us to believe in God. Of course, most of us take for granted our power to believe. However, to believe in a God, to believe Christ came to earth, to believe Christ died on the cross to give us eternal lifeto believe these ideas, requires a spiritual power. The spiritual power to believe is a gift of God. All people can access or activate the power to believe but too few people do so. What a wonderful gift to believe Christ was born on the first Christmas! We are all fallen sinners in the eyes of God. However, because Christ gave us His gift of spiritual power to believe, we can turn away from our sinful self and accept Him as Savior. Because of Christ's gift, we believe in Him. We believe we have a future in heaven with Him. We believe Christ is with us, even when our life in the present time is incredibly lousy. With His splendid gift of spiritual power to believe in Him, we can do more than we could ever do on our own. Because we believe, we can lead great lives in service to Him. Lastly, Christ gave us His gift of spiritual power to believe every day of our life until we see Him face to face.
