A Daily Devotional About being found where we
are: Luke 15:32 But we had to
celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive
again; he was lost and is found.' (NIV) Matthew 9:36 When he saw
the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless,
like sheep without a shepherd. (NIV) We
are the multitudes. Please hear our cry. We are lost in a world telling us
everything is fine while we tell everyone we are fine. However, we live in
places we do not want to live. We move to places where we want to live but we
are not at home. We live in our homes but we feel we are strangers living in a
strange land. We work every day in jobs we say we want but our jobs shut down
our heart and soul. We are the multitudes. Please hear our cry. If you are
one of the multitudes, God hears you and sees you. God knows you inside out. God
has a place for you in the future. God has a place for you in the present. God's
place for you in the present is in His heart. God's place for you in the future
is in His home. In this present time and in the present place you inhabit upon
the earth, God is reaching out to touch your heart. In this present time and in
the present place you inhabit upon the earth, God wants you to reach back to Him
and touch Him. Although everything in your life may not be fine, there is a
place for you this instant where all troubles melt away. Your place where all
troubles melt away is in the heart of God. Your place where you can feel the
warmth, care, and gentleness of a loving home is in the heart of God. Your place
this instant where you are never a stranger or where you never feel out of place
is in the heart of God. Your work place where you always have a great job with
great chances for advancement is in the heart of God. You place yourself in the
heart of God, not through any kind of human effort, but by letting your life,
your soul, and your heart be found when you are lost. You let all of who you are
be found by coming to Christ Jesus on the cross, accepting your role in
crucifying Him, and turning away from being a sinneras you accept His
forgiving love of no limits and no bounds. |
