A Daily Devotional About the promise of a better
life… Romans 4:16 Therefore, the
promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all
Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who
are of the faith of Abraham. (NIV) Our life on
earth can be a little better tomorrow, perhaps even a lot better tomorrow.
However, a little better life on earth tomorrow or even a much better life on
earth tomorrow is nothing compared to our future life in Heaven. As believers in
Christ, our heavenly view of things keeps us believing. Our heavenly view from
within the darkness of the world keeps us alive and living to do God's will each
day. Carrying hope in your heart for a better life is good. However, carrying
hope for a wonderful life in Heaven is better. Having your feet on earth and
your heart in Heaven is better than having your feet on earth with no heart
connection to Heaven. We all need to have a connection to Heaven because Heaven
is our real home. With your feet on the ground and a heart connection to heaven,
your daily persecutions and your daily afflictions become more bearable. Your
daily afflictions become more manageable when you have a vision of Heaven.
Heaven is where we will be wrapped in the arms of God in glory for eternity. |
