A Daily Devotional About reverence and adoring love… Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. 9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. 10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. (NIV) All the words ever written are not enough to express our adoration for Christ. All the words ever spoken could never express our reverence and awe when we kneel at the foot of the Cross. Our love for Christ knows no bounds when we are willing to let our life be rescued from the darkest part of the outer darkness. You live in adoration and reverence for Christ because in adoration you have emptied out all you have within you. When you are empty, Christ comes in to fill you with His power. Adoration and reverence for Christ spring forth when Christ assures you He still loves you when you have fallen short of His mark. When you are deep in loneliness, Christ comes to be with you and console you with His presence. When your heart breaks, Christ comes to you and mends your heart. When the scars of yesterday still linger upon your life, Christ comes and makes your scars disappear. When you cannot pray, Christ comes and gives you His assurance He is always present and always listening to your heart…for all these things and more…we adore Him. |
