A Prayer About God's Insulation For The Hurt Done To You

Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
How utterly and totally foolish of me to have lived with the hurts and scars of my past!
How utterly and totally foolish of me to have lived with these hurts and never to have asked you to help me do away with them!
So, by your power of love and peace, by your power that can help me totally forgive what was done to me, help me forgive.
Help me put a barrier, a full barrier, a barrier like a mountain of insulation between me and my past hurts and scars.
Help me let all this stinking stuff go.
Help me loosen my grip upon the garbage in my heart, the stinking garbage giving me so much hurt in this present day.
Help me loosen my grip upon what has happened to me in days gone by�this garbage held in my heart for years and years.
After I have loosened my grip, please place your love in my heart where the awful garbage used to be.
Never let me think about any of this hurt done to me again.
Where I once had scars, put your touch of love.
Where I once had pain, put your joy.
Where I once had hurt, put your peace.
May your healing be over me and over all those I know and love forever and ever.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
