A Prayer About How Christ Holds Your Hopes And Dreams

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I used to have hopes and dreams.
I used to see my future and there were great things happening in my tomorrows.
But now I do not have hope.
Now I have no dreams.
Yet, O Lord Jesus, you are goading me, pushing me, prodding me onward.
You pour your good love and humor over me.
You make me see over the horizon to the bright new days ahead.
When dark clouds roll into my life, you come to me and show me your sunshine.
When walls come crashing down, I am buried in the ruble.
You show me how the ruble can be used to build a great monument to your glory and grace.
When I have been tempted and Satan beats me up with the darkness of sinful thought, you place your hand upon me and show me your way of grace, truth, and love.
When my hopes, dreams, and desires have been selfish, you have been patient with me.
You have waited on me to come back to you in humility.
You have shown me my mistakes and you have forgiven me.
In all my falling down, you forgave me and never left me.
What a faithful friend you are, precious Lord Jesus.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
