A Prayer For When I Am Overwhelmed In
Suffering
Wonderful Lord Jesus, Precious Holy Spirit, Strong And Mighty God, be not
far from me in this hour. In you, I see such truth. In you, I see such
love. When the worries of my life overwhelm me, inspire me to absorb your
majesty. When I am overwhelmed with troubles and burdens, turn my eyes to
you, to your majestic creations, to your suffering for me. For when I am
overwhelmed in suffering and I come to you my suffering disappears. In
your anguish upon the Cross, my anguish is no more. As I kneel at the foot
of your Cross, none of my burdens have merit and I am overwhelmed no more.
Oh Precious Lord, how I trust you. Precious Lord, I know that in all
things you can do great works. Humble me now Lord. Humble me now so that
you may shape me and mold me to your blessed will. Humble me so that I
will be all that you want me to be. In the name of the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit. Amen. |
