A Prayer For Shelter In Christ

O Precious God, O Wonderful Jesus, O Mighty Holy Spirit, in this time of such great need, place thy sheltering arms around me.
In this hour of such great tribulation, place thy love over me, under me, around me, and upon those I love.
O, Rock of Ages past and present, place thy hand upon my life and the life of my family, friends, and nation.
Let me never slip away into selfishness and forget thy sacrifice for me.
Let my heart not melt within me and let my eyes not fill with tears as I must move forward in thy will each day.
If it is thy will, give me back my old ways of being and feeling.
If it is not thy will, then place upon me thy burdens and give me a vision of thy Cross so divine.
In thy mysterious ways, help me carry my burdens with dignity and good cheer.
Help me see thy great suffering.
For in thy suffering there is given to me new life, new hope, and new being.
Let me not look back over my shoulder at yesterday but let me find shelter in thee so I may move forward with joy and gladness in my heart.
Pour out thy mighty love and spirit into my heart.
Let me be thy witness in whatever way thou would have me be.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of the most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, the Mighty God the Father, and the Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom we can rely.
