A Prayer In A Spirit Of Thanksgiving
Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
Thank you for this time of thought, worship, reflection, and meditation.
Thank you for these few moments with you.
We want to express our love to you, Lord.
We express our adoration for you.
Our words cannot express our thankfulness.
To say "thank you" for your sacrifice for us on the Cross is
feeble and seems lame, but our words are often all we have.
During the coming days we turn our eyes and hearts to you in a spirit of
thanksgiving.
During the coming days we shall be tested but in your name we shall
persevere and be renewed through you and in that renewal we give thanks.
In this world, we can still be in your presence.
In this world, even though weak and tempted we are strong in our love for
you and we seek to be steadfast in your sight. For that we give thanks
Help us as we try to be your witnesses.
Give us courage, and inspiration, and power to be persons that can glorify
your name by a heart that overflows with the blessings you have poured out
upon us.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit
who lives in us and touches us,
