A Prayer To Build A Treasure Of Friends
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Thank you Lord.
Thank you for my life, even with all its twists and turns.
Even when I must live in times of darkness and distress, I know I can come
to you and find in you a friend who knows, understands, and accepts me.
I know many people who live a lonely life.
I know many people who have few, if any friends.
For these people, Lord, for these people, send them the ability to reach
out and help others.
In my life and in their life, give us the power to reach out to each
other.
Give us the power to build and nurture friendships by being a person who
loves, understands, and accepts others.
Show us the way to build relationships of trust.
Show us the way to build relationships based upon your love for each of
us.
Show us the value of each other.
When others need me, let me see the need and let me respond as your child.
When others need me, show me what I am supposed to do.
When others need me, let me always be beside them in thought and in
prayer.
Let me build others in love.
Let me build others by giving them hope, promise, and a vision of a
positive tomorrow in your holy and blessed name.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
