Sometimes I lapse into letting things go wherever they want to go and then things turn out bad.
Then when things turn out bad I do not try to figure out why things went bad.
Sometimes I think wisdom and understanding will just pop into my head without my ever having to do anything…which is not wise of me.
Help me exert myself to find wisdom and understanding in all things and in all matters.
I know life offers me lessons every second I am alive, so help me be a sponge for all life's wisdom in all areas.
Give me a seeking hunger for your wisdom and your truth.
Give me a seeking hunger to know more about you and about your ways each day.
Give me a will seeking to know more each day.
Give me a will refusing to accept what the world considers wise without checking things out with you first.
Give me a godly disdain for ignorance.
Give me a godly disdain for ever making a mistake and not trying to figure out why I made the mistake.
Give me a godly disdain for ever making a mistake and not trying to fix the mistake using your truth and your wisdom as my guide.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
