A Prayer To Understand And Come Against Evil

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
We love you, Lord Jesus.
O Lord, in your holy and precious name, I seek a small understanding of the evil one and his evil ways so I may guard against His power.
Let me be wise about the wiles of evil.
Let me be wise about how I am tempted and tortured in my soul by evil.
O Lord, let me be strong so I can stand up against the temptations the evil one brings upon me.
Let me see how much an enemy of my life the evil one really is.
Let me illumine my life so evil cannot have any power over me.
O Lord, let me not be blind to evil but be smart enough and knowledgeable enough to build defenses against what evil wants me to do and to be.
Let me understand evil is the author of my death and you, my Savior, bring me life everlasting.
Let me know your love and power has given me a sure victory over the evil coming against me.
O Lord, let me see the power of your Love so the darkness has no power over me when you are near.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
