Prayer To Hear God In The Silence

Precious Lord Jesus, Magnificent Lord, Wonderful Holy Spirit, I love you.
You speak to me all the time but I do not hear you.
You speak to me every hour but I am preoccupied with my own thoughts and feelings.
When I come to you in prayer, I am the one speaking but I too often do not listen.
When I come to you in prayer, I give you my list of needs or my list of people in the late hours of the night, yet I forget to listen to you.
Forgive me, O Lord, for my spirit is full of noise and deafening racket from my selfish cares about myself and my life.
Let me be quiet now.
Let me be at peace.
Let me hear your small voice in the silence that surrounds me.
Amen
